In June last year, the leader of the Northampton Borough Council Cllr. David Mackintosh, was part of the trade mission to India led by the Secretary of State of Communities and Local Government, Eric Pickles. During the visit he met Indian business representatives keen on finding out more about investment opportunities in Northampton's Enterprise Zone, and also looked at opportunities for local companies in Northamptonshire to get involved in regeneration projects in India.
