5 Live In Short

Available for over a year

National Union of Teachers (NUT) chief, Christine Blower, defends teachers strike in June over pay and workload. The NUT conference voted for a strike that could close schools in England and Wales in the week beginning 23 June, while it has also decided to consult teachers on further action in the autumn term. The Department for Education said strikes would "damage the profession's reputation". This clip is from Victoria Derbyshire on Monday 21 April, with Chris Warburton sitting in.
