Voting in the Indian Elections

Kaval Vaseer

Available for over a year

The results of the general election in India are expected soon. But one man thinks non-resident Indians (or NRIs) who live here should be able to vote as well. He says that while they can technically vote, they'd have to be in India on a specific day and mark an X on a voting slip. He wants a technical solution so that NRIs can vote overseas. In this extract Kartik Mittal speaks to ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio Nottingham’s Dhamaka programme and presenter Kaval Vaseer about why it’s so important for him to vote in these elections….
