Defoe "devastated" not to make England World Cup squad

England manager Roy Hodgson opted for youth ahead of experience in his 23-man squad for this summer's football World Cup in Brazil. The striker Jermain Defoe, who now plays in Toronto, said he is "devastated" to not make the final squad. Defoe, who is on the stand-by list, said he felt he had a good chance of going to Brazil.
