Recorded at the Pittville Pump Room as part of the 2009 Cheltenham Festival of Music, Stephen Johnson is joined by the Aronowitz Ensemble to explore the music of Schnittke and Mahler. The festival focuses on the music of Jewish heritage. Stephen explores both the cultural and musical links between Schnittke and Mahler as he examines Mahler's early Piano Quartet movement, Schnittke's Piano Quintet and the Mahler/Schnittke Piano Quartet.
