The business of space exploration: What is its commercial and industrial use? We report from London's Royal Society as it hosts the scientists involved in the Gaia project, which is mapping the Milky Way, and the Rosetta probe, due to land on a comet later this year. Also, we report from Sweden where a company called Spaceport is hoping to create a base to help launch space tourism, while Professor Andrew Coates of the Mullard Space Science Laboratory at University College London tells us why he reckons priority should be given to unmanned space exploration projects. And our regular technology columnist Jeremy Wagstaff considers what happens to all that space junk left orbiting earth once the satellites are spent.
