Ex-jihadist: Bush quote ‘pushed thousands’ to terrorism

5 Live In Short

Available for over a year

A former Danish jihadist has claimed that George W Bush "pushed thousands" of people into terrorism by stating, "You are either with us, or against us." Morten Storm, who turned on his former comrades to become a spy for the security services, said the former president's words were "unwise". He told 5 live's Richard Bacon that many Muslims felt the war on Iraq was "a blatant declaration of war on Islam". First broadcast on the Richard Bacon programme on 9 July 2014.
