Vodafone is helping rural areas access 3G and 4G

5 Live In Short

Available for over a year

Jeroen Hoencamp Chief Executive Officer at Vodafone UK tells Adam Parsons that his company is aiming to cover 98% of the UK with 3G or 4G by the end of 2015. In order to do this, the phone company is calling for rural communities to apply for mobile signal boosts. Applicants should apply via their local MP for installation of Rural Open Sure Signal technology; a little black box on the side of local buildings that boost signals. The scheme follows a trial which brought mobile coverage to 12 communities. This clip is originally from 5 live Breakfast on Tuesday 22 July 2014.
