Those caring for victims of Ebola are at risk of contracting the deadly virus, a World Health Organisation worker has warned. Major Thomas Fletcher, a former army doctor who recently visited affected West African areas, said carers, healers and mourners needed to stay away from infected persons, live or dead. "It's quite difficult to persuade communities to isolate their relatives...as they may have seen relatives go to treatment centres and die," he said. "But to protect those communities, it's really important to take them to an isolation centre. The Ebola virus, which has a 90 percent death rate, has killed more than 670 people in West Africa.
