5 Live In Short

Available for over a year

A nine-year-old boy, who was born deaf and without ears, has had a pair created from his ribs. Surgeons at London's Great Ormond Street Hospital took cartilage from Kieran Sorkin's ribs and grafted them onto his head. Kieran's parents, David and Louise, said he was "glowing with confidence" since the operation. This clip is originally from Drive on Monday 11 August 2014.
