Ash cloud fears: Icelandic volcano could erupt

5 Live In Short

Available for over a year

Scientists in Iceland have warned that the country's Bardarbunga volcano could be about to erupt, and it could pose a risk to the aviation industry. The country's Met Office has raised the risk level to orange, the second-highest level. In 2010, a series of eruptions from an Icelandic volcano created an ash cloud that caused serious disruption to flights. 5 live's Phil Williams spoke to Professor Dougal Jerram, a Volcanologist from the University of Oslo. This clip is originally from the Phil Williams Show on 20th August 2014
