Would you volunteer to sit on the Children's Panel?

Morning Call

Available for over a year

Would you volunteer to sit on the Children's Panel? The National Children's Panel have launched a major recruitment drive to get more volunteers. The push is being led by Children's Hearings Scotland who are responsible for the 2500 panel members who attend hearings to tackle the problems children and young people face and make decisions about their future. They are looking for at least 500 new recruits and in particular are urging more men to apply to ensure hearings have the right representation. Actor Paul Brannigan, who had a troubled upbringing in Glasgw's east end, has encouraged more people to come forward and make a difference and has spoken of his fear and confusion facing panels when he was younger.
