"There's an open resistance to black managers"

5 Live In Short

Available for over a year

Jason Roberts responds to Gordon Taylor who suggests there's a 'hidden' resistance to employing black managers in football. Taylor wants the so called 'Rooney rule' to be enforced where clubs would be required to interview black and ethnic minority candidates when a managerial position becomes available. Roberts: "When there's close to 30% BME players on the pitch and we go into the season with no black managers, I think that's a shocking statistic." This clip was taken from 5 live sport 23 Sep 14
