5 Live In Short

Available for over a year

The actress Lynda Bellingham says she plans to stop receiving chemotherapy for her terminal cancer in November. The 66-year-old Oxo advert star and Loose Women panellist told the Sunday Mirror she wanted one last Christmas with her family, and then pass away "the natural way". Caller Barry, from North Yorkshire, said he faced a similar "dreadful situation" in 2001 when his partner Eileen, who had aggressive breast cancer, decided to stop treatment. "It scars your life. It makes you realise the importance of making the most of every day," he said. This clip is originally from Sam Walker on Monday 29 September 2014.
