Jim Davis and Jo Hayward

Available for over a year

How would you feel if you received a text message or a letter from your GP surgery saying that that it was shutting down in two weeks time, and you now had to move to a new surgery nearly a mile away - or find a new doctor ? That's the situation facing around 8 thousand patients at the Highfields Medical Centre on Melbourne Road - as the surgery closed at the weekend. They will now have to visit their Gps at the Merlyn Vaz Centre on the Humberstone Road. Similarly, patients at the Gps surgery on Moira Road will now have to move to the Belgrave Centre. Patients have been protesting at the Melbourne Road Surgery, and ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio Leicester's Bridget Blair went meet them
