The former Sports Minister Richard Caborn says convicted rapist Ched Evans "ought to be be allowed back" to club Sheffield United if he apologised and showed remorse for his actions. Caborn said Evans should "make clear" to young fans who would see him as a role model that his actions were "wrong". He added that if Evans did not apologise properly, he would not be comfortable watching him playing for the club. "Footballers are role models and have that responsibility and therefore unless Ched actually does show what he did was wrong, I don't think he can go onto the park again," he said.
