Somalia's Firsts

The Fifth Floor

Available for over a year

The last two years have seen big changes in Somalia. Back in 2012 Somalia got its first constitution and first functioning government in more than 20 years. Since then, Somalia's "firsts" keep on growing. There's been the first bakery, the first gym, the first florist, and this week the first postal service in the country in the last two decades. ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Somali's Abdullahi Abdi reflects on what these "firsts" say about a country and people that have experienced years of uncertainty.
