Modern Christmas cards show slimmer Santa, study finds

5 Live In Short

Available for over a year

Father Christmas has been cutting down on the mince pies, it seems. An analysis of Christmas card designs over the past 20 years found Santa is now considerably slimmer than ten years ago. The research, by Clintons, also found that the traditional robin was also losing out to pictures of snowmen. Simon Taylor Kiltee, master artist at the The Great British Card Company, described how Christmas cards had changed during his 20 year career. This clip is originally from Drive on November 20 2014.
