Edwina Currie earned about £100K in jungle says husband

5 Live In Short

Available for over a year

Former world superbike champion Carl "Foggy" Fogarty has been crowned the King of the Jungle in this year's I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! His victory came after Edwina Currie - the former Conservative Cabinet minister and now a regular on 5 live's Stephen Nolan - just missed out getting to the final after being evicted. She lasted 17 days and even survived a tomb of cockroaches. To find out how the news went down at home, Stephen Nolan spoke to her husband John Jones, who revealed in the interview that Edwina earned about £100,000 for taking part in the show. He also said that reports which suggested she entered the jungle to pay for a house extension had a "certain amount of truth in it". This clip is originally from Stephen Nolan on Sunday 7 December 2014
