Taliban massacre school was an 'easy target'

5 Live In Short

Available for over a year

An army-run school in Pakistan, attacked by the Taliban killing at least 126 people, many children, was an "easy target for the terrorists" a local resident has said. Asfandy Yar lives a few kilometres from the school in Peshawar which was attacked on Tuesday morning. He said the attack was "very prepared". Five or six militants are believed to have entered the building. Five of the attackers are reported to have been killed, at least one of them in a suicide blast. The Pakistani army says the majority of the 500 students at the school have now been evacuated. This clip is originally from 5 live Daily on December 16 2014.
