Mother of victims: I wanted to 'sleep forever'

5 Live In Short

Available for over a year

I wished there was someone with a "big needle" to put me to sleep for "the rest of my life" said the mother of two tsunami victims. Sussi Jansom lost her daughters Eleonor and Josefin ten years ago in the Boxing Day tsunami. They had been on holiday with her ex-husband, who was also killed by the wave. Mrs Janson and her husband Hans travelled to Thailand from their home in Sweden to "bring them back home alive" but when they saw the destruction it was clear "if someone survived here, they were lucky". Sussi has since moved to Thailand to run a children's home on the island of Phuket. This clip is originally from 5 live Drive on December 22 2014.
