5 Live In Short

Available for over a year

One of Oldham Athletic's longest-serving players says he's "not comfortable at all" with the idea of convicted rapist Ched Evans signing for the club. The ѿý understands Ched Evans is in talks about signing for League One club Oldham Athletic. Last month Oldham denied reports they were set to offer the 26-year-old a contract, or let him train with them, but it is believed they have now had a change of heart. Rick Holden clocked up 189 appearances for Oldham Athletic between 1989 and 1993. He told Dotun Adebayo that Evans' crime was one "that will never go away" "I don't see how the chap can survive actually given the ferocity of football up and down the land.” This clip is originally from Dotun Adebayo on Sunday 4 January 2015.
