Handing over the cheque

Steve and Laura at Breakfast

Available for over a year

Kindness and generosity...they needn't cost the earth, but they could mean the world to someone in need. Whether it's a random act of kindness, saving a neighbour from a burning building, or doing one good deed every day for a year, we in the West are a generous bunch. The generosity of one listener in particular has really stood out for us. 93 year old Peter Butler from Hutton rang up Steve and Laura at Breakfast after hearing that eight defibrillators had been stolen from in and around Bristol. Peter offered £1,500 for a new defibrillator - designed to re-start a patient's heart after a cardiac arrest. So, we took Rae Care from the South West Ambulance Service to meet Peter, and have him hand over the cheque in person.
