5 Live In Short

Available for over a year

Could it be that when Ludwig van Beethoven composed some of the greatest masterpieces of all time that he was quite literally following his heart? A team of researchers say certain clues to a heart condition the composer may have had lie in some of his finest works. Dr Zachary Goldberger is Assistant Professor at the University of Washington Medical School - and led the research. Dotun Adebayo asked him what we should be listening for in Beethoven's music to understand his heart. This clip is originally from Up All Night Sunday 11th January 2015.
