Archive: Auschwitz survivor Henia Bryer shares her story

Today

Available for over a year

About 300 survivors of Auschwitz will be back at the concentration camp on Tuesday to mark the 70th anniversary of its liberation. The Nazis killed more than a million people at the camp, almost all of them Jews. It will be the last major anniversary in which such numbers of survivors will attend. Last year John Humphrys spoke to Henia Bryer, a survivor whose father and sister were killed at Majdanek and Auschwitz respectively. She told him how she coped with her situation.
