Muslims express concern over terror bill

Indus

Available for over a year

Over a 100 Muslim organisations and mosques in Greater Manchester and Lancashire signed a letter in January expressing serious concerns about the Counter-Terrorism and Security Bill, and its possible impact on the Muslim community. It coincides with a national campaign against the bill that includes a website called "stop the bill" and urges Muslims to oppose it. So what exactly is it that Muslims are concerned about? In this extract Jahangir Mohammed the Chief Executive of Communica, who provide expertise on extremism and terrorism, joins ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio Manchester and Lancashire's Talat-Farooq Awan on the Indus programmes to discuss the bill.
