Today

Available for over a year

Growing numbers of Polish migrants are getting UK citizenship: which they're entitled to do if they have lived in the UK for at least five years. That, in turn, entitles them to vote in the general election. So far, their numbers are relatively small. But in a very marginal constituency, Polish votes could potentially make a difference. In the latest of our reports on 100 interesting parliamentary seats, Today's Sanchia Berg has been to Southampton Itchen which Labour only just held at the last election and where there is now a significant Polish population.
