England manager Roy Hodgson believes Wayne Rooney playing in a deep midfield role for Manchester United is not a problem because "he can play anywhere". "I'm certain if you pushed him, Wayne Rooney could play in goal and he'd probably be quite good at it. We still tend to think of Wayne as an attacking player," added Hodgson. The plethora of young attacking talent at his disposal also pleased 67-year-old: "It's such a difference from three years ago.
