An Oxfordshire town crier has admitted to lying to the public and media about serving in the Armed Forces and being a Falklands veteran. Anthony Church the town crier for Wallingford, Chipping Norton, Banbury, Oxford and Thame has been regularly photographed in a Falklands veteran's medal and told members of the public he served 20 years in the army. He has now resigned from all his positions and apologised to army veterans and their families for any harm caused.
