5 Live In Short

Available for over a year

As we all know, our cricket correspondent Jonathan Agnew is a man of many talents, but he’s kept his role in a Hollywood blockbuster quiet, until now. During the World Cup match between New Zealand and England in Wellington, Aggers revealed to co-commentator Jeremy Coney that in the interval of a one day international in New Zealand in 2002, he and the rest of the crowd in attendance were asked by director Peter Jackson to join in and create sound effects which would be heard in the film. This clip is from Test Match Special, Cricket World Cup 2015 New Zealand v England Friday 20 February 2015.
