Why poo should not be taboo

5 Live In Short

Available for over a year

Sam Cleasby has said that being "tutted at" for using the disabled toilet is not an "isolated incident" and happens "regularly". 33-year-old Sam was diagnosed with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) in 2003 and had a colectomy and illeostomy in 2013. She now has a colostomy bag which means she often finds herself having to rush to the bathroom. She regrets not "standing up to those people" so posted an open letter on her blog to explain how the "judgement" made her feel. Her letter has had over 2million views and has had a response from thousands of people saying they face similar adversity every day. Sam's blog can be found here: http://bit.ly/1Arqyxn This clip is originally from 5 live Breakfast on 25th February 2015.
