Crawley: Are wages increasing?

Today

Available for over a year

As part of the programme's series on 100 seats in 100 days to the election, Simon Jack speaks to local employees and employers about wage increases in swing seat Crawley. A number of local employees don't feel their wages have increased due to inflation increasing the cost of living, one man said: "There's been no increase since I started where I work in 2010... every year it feels like you've got less and less money because everything's going." Local employer Penina Shepherd called Crawley "a fantastic area for businesses" but when asked if staff were being given a pay rise she said simply: "You'll have to attend our board meeting."
