5 Live In Short

Available for over a year

The police union representing officers in Ferguson, Missouri, has denied widespread racial bias. It follows the publication of a report from the US Justice Department, which concluded the police department was guilty of discriminating against black people. Jeff Roorda from St Louis Police Officers Association has been speaking to 5 Live's Phil Williams. He says young black men living in inner cities are in despair, and this is causing problems for the police.
