The story of Rio through Bossa Nova

The Fifth Floor

Available for over a year

Rio de Janeiro celebrated its 450th birthday on Sunday with parties, celebrations and a lot of music. And a lot of that music was probably Bossa Nova - a style that was born in the city and took the world by storm in the 1950s and 60s. From ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Brasil - Monica Vasconcelos, a singer herself, and Ricardo Acampora, born and bred in Rio - tell the story of the city through their favourite Bossa Nova songs.
