The US state of Utah is reinstating death by firing squad because it can't get enough of the ingredients needed to execute people by lethal injection. Paul Ray, a member of the Utah House of Representatives who sponsored the bill to legalise the firing squad, said it was a "humane option" - adding that it would be his preferred means of execution.
