Llanelli: A Two Horse Race?

Today

Available for over a year

As part of our coverage of 100 seats in the 100 days before the election, Hywel Griffith has been hearing from voters at Ffos Las racecourse in South Wales, where the forerunners are Plaid Cymru and Labour. Plaid Cymru launched their election manifesto today - with a call for Wales to receive the same level of funding as Scotland. However the Welsh nationalist party has failed to build the same support as its Scottish counterpart the SNP in recent years. Dafydd Elis-Thomas, former Plaid Cymru leader, says voters “haven’t been convinced” because the party’s message is unclear. He can't blame Welsh voters for sticking with Labour, who are traditionally strong in Llanelli.
