Bolton West: 'Smaller parties were a surprise'

Today

Available for over a year

Five voters in Bolton West gave their verdicts immediately after the televised debates. Overall, they was underwhelmed. "It's more interesting finding out what the politicians left out rather than what they said" commented Conservative supporter Emily Clark's. However, it was the smaller parties that surprised the panel, especially the SNP leader Nicola Sturgeon. "I think Nicola Sturgeon would make a fantastic Labour leader... it's a shame she's not" said Matt Tomkin – a local business owner whose vote was undecided. Also undecided was Barbara Spence, a Medical Secretary who has work in the NHS all her life. She was frustrated with the Leader's comments on the NHS. "They've not got a clue on what the NHS is!" Blessing Margere and David Ingram, both managers, also gave their thoughts on the debates.
