A US Coastguard officer has described the incredible rescue of a sailor who disappeared off the coast of North Carolina two months ago. 37-year-old Louis Jordan was presumed dead, but was then found 200 miles out at sea, clinging to his capsized boat. "He talked to us about how he rationed food, and he'd caught fish, and he'd been drinking rain water," says Derek Ross, who had started his new job that day. "He seemed to be a little shaken. A little wide-eyed, bushy-tailed. He said thank you numerous times." "It was an awesome rescue. I couldn't have asked for better conditions and a better crew."
