Kiran Kanojia

Outlook

Available for over a year

When Indian IT engineer Kiran Kanojia lost her left leg in a train accident three and a half years ago, doctors told her they could definitely help her walk again, but she would never be able to run. But Kiran had other plans. She got hold of a curved prosthetic leg, like the blades used by Paralympian runners - and started doing half-marathons. From her home in Hyderabad, Kiran told Outlook's Matthew Bannister, how she came to lose her leg. Picture: Kiran Kanojia Credit: Mohana Gandhi
