Fleeing Yemen in a Small Fishing Boat

World Update

Available for over a year

Several nations are continuing efforts to evacuate their citizens from Yemen. But hundreds of US citizens are stuck in the country that has been targeted by Saudi Arabian airstrikes for the past two weeks. The State Department says it does currently not plan any evacuation missions. One Yemeni-American, Mokhtar Alkhanshali, has just made it back to the US on his own. He risked his life to make it to a small port city inside Yemen, and then leave by sea to Djibouti. (Photo: The Red Sea at Yemen. Credit: Karim Sahib/AFP/Getty Images)
