Jez introduces a new discovery from the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Introducing Uploader – Vula Viel led by Bex Burch. Vula Viel (meaning 'good is good' in Dagaare) combines rhythms of West Africa with jazz and improvised music in a sound centred around the Gyil – the Dagaare xylophone made of sacred lliga wood and buzzing gourd resonators. The band features Bex Burch (Gyil), Dave De Rose (drums), Simon Roth (drums), Dan Nicholls (keyboard / bass synth), George Crowley (sax), Tom Challenger (sax), Stephen Burke (vibes) and Jim Hart (vibes). Do you want to get your music played on Jazz on 3? Artists and bands who are unsigned, undiscovered or under the radar can submit demos or CD tracks via the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Introducing Uploader. Jez regularly plays tracks he receives from ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Introducing on the programme, and there are occasional performance opportunities too, with sets by selected Introducing bands recorded and broadcast on Jazz on 3.
