The T-rex's vegetarian cousin

Newsday

Available for over a year

Fossil hunters in Chile have unearthed the remains of a bizarre Jurassic dinosaur that ranks as one of the most remarkable dinosaur finds of the past twenty years. Named Chilesaurus diegosuarezi, it is a relative of the Tyrannosaurus rex, but there’s one big difference…it was a vegetarian. Professor Paul Barrett is dinosaur researcher at the Natural History Museum in London. (Picture: Artist's impression of Chilesaurus diegosuarezi Credit: Press Association)
