Former Bournemouth player and manager Harry Redknapp has celebrated Bournemouth's promotion to the Premier League, Redknapp, pictured above when he was at the club, described the team as a "fantastic unit" and added that the promotion was "thoroughly deserved". Redknapp who lives nearby said the club's success had given the area a lift. "It's brilliant down here, to see so many people last night, it's a dream come true that I don't think any of us could see the day Bournemouth would get into the Premier League," he said.
