Some sad news from Belgium, where the 24-year-old top flight footballer Gregory Mertens has died. Mertens collapsed with a heart-related illness on Monday during a reserve-team game while playing for Lokeren against Genk. Mertens was given CPR in the first half and was rushed to hospital, but sadly doctors were unable to save his life.
