Ben Tottenham, now 92 from Ramsbury near Marlborough, celebrated VE Day with a glass - or six - of champagne in Hamburg. It was there he found himself on that fateful day after spending the war carrying out reconnaissance for the 5th Inniskilling Dragoon Guards. He still likes to go through his old photos to this day.
