Rozanne Colchester’s Story

ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio Oxford Special

Available for over a year

Rozanne Colchester, who lives near Banbury in Oxfordshire, reads her diary entry from the day peace in Europe was announced. Rozanne had worked at Bletchley Park before moving to Cairo, in the January before the end of the war, to be with her parents, as her brother was missing in action. She recounts how she celebrated with her soon to be husband and speaks of the mixed emotions of celebration because the war was over and the misery, because of her brother.
