Take a look at Herefordshire Council and you can see that people in teh county just don't like being told what to do. Herefordshire has a large group of Conservative councillors, but there's also a big collection of independents and even a large independent group - called It's Our County. But when it comes to the General Election ballot paper, those independent choices disappear - and Herefordians will have only the five biggest national parties to choose from.
