Seventy years on it's difficult to imagine what life would have been like during the occupation of the Channel Islands – the only part of the British Isles occupied by the Germans in World War Two. The simple freedoms we take for granted today were taken from islanders. ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½s were seized, food became scarce and a simple act of defiance could lead to terrible consequences. How do Germans living in the islands today feel about the occupation? The ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½â€™s Listening Project introduces us to Frank and Hubertus. Their conversation is now part of the social history collections at the British Library.
