Sport Today

Available for over a year

Norway Captain, Trine Rønning, who is competing at the FIFA Women's World Cup in Canada has revealed she once felt embarrassed to call herself a footballer, because of stereotypes attached to women's game. She told ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ reporter, Caroline Rigby, that some of football's "top leaders (are) still talking down to us." The Norwegian international says attitudes need to change and Trine explains why she and her teammates have made a short film poking fun at the gender stereotypes they face.
