Get a flavour for The Sachal Jazz Ensemble and their fiery flutist Baqar Abbas as the LSO’s Peter Riley and Sachal founder Izzat Majeed recall the unforgettable flute-off with Wynton Marsalis’ flutist Ted Nash, at the Lincoln Center in 2013. Izzat Majeed, founder of the Sachal Jazz Ensemble is a London-based father of three and was born and brought up in Lahore. He recalls a vibrant city full of music and culture. He recalls seeing the Dave Brubeck Trio playing in the city as part of America's Jazz Ambassadors Tour. This was the start of a lifelong affection for jazz.
